The college
has separate hostels for boys and girls, The facilities
in each room include a cot, a shelf, a table and
a chair for each student. All the rooms are provided
with a fan. Basic amenities like bathrooms and toilets
are constructed to offer the best services to the
inmates. Hot water is supplied through a centralized
geyser arrangement. Emergency lights are also provided
in case of power failures. There is a standby diesel
gen-set 50 KVA in the hostel, which supplies power
during long power interruptions.
Rules and Regulations
The hostels have well defined rules and regulations to
be followed by the inmates. At the time of joining the
hostels the students are given a copy of the rules and
regulations pertaining to the running of the hostels and
the mess. The students are expected to strictly follow
the rules failing which they may be expelled from the hostels
depending upon the nature and the magnitude of the violation.
Mess
The mess has a
very well equipped and a highly mechanized kitchen. The
mess for the students
is run by a mess committee, which has representatives
from each year along with mess advisors who are the resident
tutors. The mess runs on dividing system. Ladies hostel
is provided with a separate dining hall/recreation hall
exclusively for lady inmates. The clerk supervises the
work in the mess halls, kitchen and the stores and the
senior most cooks. The menu is strictly vegetarian. Food
served is predominantly north & south Indian. Since
students are drawn from all regions of India, every effort
is made to provide them with balanced menu.
The charges are on cost
dividing system. Together for unlimited breakfast, lunch
and dinner, the
cost approximately adds up to Rs.900/- per month per Student.

Health Care
The hostel
office maintains first aid kits and is accessible at all
times. A doctor visits daily in the college and every alternate
day in the hostel in evening for an hour to attend to the
sick students. A sick register is maintained to track the
complaints and illnesses to avoid outbreak of any contagious
diseases
Allotment
Allotment
of the rooms to the residents takes place at the end of
each academic year. The rooms vacated by the outgoing students
are made available by the warden for other senior residents
in the hostel to change their rooms, as decided by the
hostel management. Vacant rooms are allotted strictly as
per the guidelines provided by the management.
Shop
A shop in
hostel-1 premises is well stocked with day to day requirements
of the inmates.
Shop is open all working days from 05.30 pm to 07.00 pm and on holidays from
10.00 am to 03.30 pm.
Reading and
Entertainment
Hostel has
a common reading room. Daily newspapers and magazines are
bought and maintained in the reading room. Satellite cable
television facility is provided in each block.
Security
Security
has been provided round the clock for all the blocks of
the hostel.

and imbibe the art of living among their own peers in a
harmonious manner.
