Anna University Rules Related to Dress Code and Cell phone
       
Sub : Implement of dress code and ban on usage of cell phones, Misuse of internet and unacceptable cultural programmes- Certain instructions issued –Reg
       
In order to bring a Conducive learning atmosphere in the campuses of the constituent and affiliated engineering colleges of Anna University, some of the obstacles distracting the attention of the students and their interest in their educational pursuits have to be removed.
       
In view of the above said objective, the university has decided to implement the following measures.
Possession and use of all types of cell phones by the student banned inside the college campus including hostel and canteen.
Use of internet for purpose other than academics related activities of banned.
Dressing of students should be formal. Dress code is formal shirts and full pants for male students and salwar kameez / chudidhar with dhupatta / saree for female students.
Cultural programmes based on ethics and values alone are encouraged.
The managements and principals are requested to co-operate in implementing the above said guidelines in a step-by-step and judicious manner in order to maintain discipline and ethics among the students and to achieve academic excellence in the campuses.
