Associations
Apart from the regular curriculum, each department forms their respective department associations and conducts various activities and programmes, such as conducting Seminars, Workshops, and National level technical symposiums, Exhibitions, Paper presentations and Guest Lectures etc. To inculcate the professionals to exhibit and expose their hidden treasuries of talents to be par with the excellence. By this, students learn how to organize and develop team sprits.
YRC
The youth Red Cross is the most important constituent of its mother organization, Indian Red Cross. It is a group movement organized at the initial stages for students between 18 and 25 years of age within the colleges. A qualified lecturer is recognized as the leader and he is called the counselor's guidance, the students are trained and encouraged to manage the affairs of the group, electing their own office-bearers
NSS
In 2002, Sri Nandhanam College of Engineering and Technology has taken the initiative of developing its surrounding villages besides its own campus and students. The result of this initiative is opening a new unit called "National Social Scheme" (NSS) of SNCET. Our unit started with strength of 100 volunteers. The focus is over a wide range of social setbacks of our villages like Health, Sanitary, Safety and ignorance of Precautionary measures. It works mainly on the poor and downtrodden people of the neighboring villages. The programs are basically creating awareness and development, cleaning and maintain teaching and training etc. This unit also strives to make the student community as responsible citizens of the society by bestowing leadership training programmes and personality development programmer to develop a positive outlook towards life.
NCC
A unit of NCC will be sanctioned to function from the year 2007-08. The army wing 10th Battalion is situated just 80km from our college.
Sports
By participating in the various activities and events, students develop their leadership skills and get the opportunity to interact with the various College students and with leading members of the community. Indoor games and outdoor sports facility exists for football, volley ball, badminton and cricket. Our students have won matches in district, state and national level university tournaments
Rotary Club
Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 166 countries.
The main objective of Rotary is service - in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.
